News from NIAHS | 4th National Conference of Nitte Imaging Technology (NCNIT-2026)

The Departments of Medical Imaging Technology, Nitte Institute of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS) and Radiodiagnosis & Imaging of K S Hegde Medical Academy in association with the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists organized the 4th National Conference of Nitte Imaging Technology (NCNIT-2026) on 7th & 8th February 2026 at the K S Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte. The conference was conducted with the objective of promoting academic excellence, research collaboration and technological advancements in the field of medical imaging.

Chief Guest, Mr. Nandakumar Velayudhan Pillai, Director (Refinery), Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited highlighted the importance of technological innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing healthcare diagnostics. The function was presided over by Prof. (Dr) M S Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU who emphasized the institution’s commitment to quality education, research and skill development in allied health sciences.

The conference featured keynote lectures, invited talks, panel discussions, oral presentations, scientific paper presentations, poster presentations and proffered papers. Experts and professionals from reputed institutions across India shared their knowledge on recent developments in medical imaging technology including modern imaging techniques, radiation safety and innovations in radiology. Scientific & educational presentations were conducted in various categories such as CT, MRI, Radiography, Radiation Protection, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology.

Around 900 participants from 60+ institutions across 8 states attended the conference and actively engaged in academic discussions, knowledge exchange and networking.
