The Department of Pulmonary Medicine, in association with Aster CMI Hospital, Bengaluru, organized a CME on Lung Transplantation on 12th September 2026 at Chintana Hall, Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital. The program was graced by Prof. (Dr.) B. Sandeep Rai, Dean, KS Hegde Medical Academy, with Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sahoo, Eminent Senior Pulmonologist, Mangaluru, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Abhimanyu Punja, Senior Resident, Radiodiagnosis, KSHEMA, delivered a session on “From Diagnosis to Allograft: The Role of Radiology in Lung Transplantation.” Dr. Sunil Kumar K, Transplant Pulmonologist, Aster CMI Hospital, addressed the “Medical Aspects of Lung Transplantation,” while Dr. Sriram Vijayapuri, Lung Transplant Surgeon, Aster CMI Hospital, addressed the “Surgical Aspects of Lung Transplantation.” The CME provided an academic platform for gaining insights into the multidisciplinary approach to lung transplantation, including radiological evaluation, medical management, and surgical considerations.
