Hindi Diwas was celebrated at Dr.NSAM PU College on 12 Sept 2026,with an emphasis on the significance of Hindi as a language that promotes communication and national unity.
The chief guest, Dr. Nagarathna Rao, Professor, Department of Hindi, Mangalore University, stressed the importance of learning Hindi and urged students to respect both Hindi and their mother tongue.
Presiding over the program, Dr. Naveen Shetty K., Principal, NSAM PUC and President of the Dakshina Kannada District Pre-University College Principals' Association, said that Hindi is not merely a language but a bridge connecting people across the country. He emphasized the need for educational institutions to encourage students to learn Hindi while respecting all Indian languages.
Students who secured 100% marks in Hindi in Second PUC Board Examination were felicitated. Students also presented various creative activities related to Hindi.
