The Department of Community Health Nursing of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, in collaboration with the SDG Cell, Nitte (Deemed to be University), organised SDG Flag Day - 2026 on 25 September 2026.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and encourage students to take meaningful action towards a sustainable campus and society.
Dr. Suma Ballal, Deputy Registrar, Nitte (Deemed to be University), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The programme included the SDG Flag Day ceremony, SDG pledge, awareness activities, and the launch of the “Plastics to Purpose” initiative, wherein students collected plastic bottles for their transformation into an eco-friendly bench.
