VTU Mangalore Zone Badminton: Nitte & Alvas College team bags the trophy - NMAMIT

NMAM Institute of Technology won Men’s VTU Mangalore Zone Badminton and Alvas College of Engineering, Moodabidre bagged Women’s Badminton championship in VTU Mangalore Zonal Level Badminton tournament conducted in association with NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte held in the campus recently. Team Nitte defeated Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology, Bantakal by 3-0 in the final match under men's section. Alvas Engineering College Women’s team defeated Sahyadri Institute of Technology by 2-0 under Women’s section. The Tournament was inaugurated by Mr.Roshan Lala Nehra, Chief Coach, Karnataka Badminton Association, Bangalore. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal of NMAMIT and President of John’s Sports & Cultural Academy, Mr.John D’Silva gave away the prizes to the winners at the closing ceremony. The program was attended by Physical Directors Shamsundar M, Ganesh Poojary, Muralidhar Sharma and Gangadhar.
