News from NSFTID | NSFTID represented at National Forum on Sustainable Luxury

Nitte School of Fashion Technology & Interior Design achieved a notable distinction in academic and industry engagement as Dr. Sandhya Ravi, Principal, NSFTID represented the institution as a Panel Member and Keynote Speaker at a prestigious national forum hosted by Army Institute of Fashion & Design and Army Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology.

During the session, Dr Sandhya Ravi shared expert insights on sustainable luxury textiles, conscious design practices and the evolving role of fashion technology in shaping responsible and future ready industries. She emphasized how innovation in materials, ethical production systems and mindful consumption patterns are redefining global fashion standards and transforming modern design education.

The forum brought together leading academicians, industry professionals and emerging designers to deliberate on sustainability driven transformation within the fashion and lifestyle ecosystem.









News from NSFTID | Students of Nitte School of Fashion Technology & Interior Design selected for IndiaSkills 2025 - 26 South Regional Competition

Nitte School of Fashion Technology & Interior Design proudly celebrates the selection of its final year students for the South Regional Competition of IndiaSkills 2025-26, widely recognized as the National Skill Olympics. IndiaSkills is a national platform that identifies and nurtures exceptional talent across skill-based disciplines, preparing participants for higher levels of competition and global exposure.

The prestigious regional round will be held in Hyderabad on 22nd & 23rd February 2026.

Chikkanna Swamy and Khushi Satihal from the Fashion Technology program, along with Prithika M S from Visual Merchandising, secured this opportunity through their creativity, technical proficiency and consistent pursuit of design excellence.

Being selected for the regional stage is a significant milestone. Their achievement is a proud moment for Nitte University and stands as an inspiration for aspiring designers to pursue their passion with dedication, discipline, and creative vision.

The prestigious Education Excellence Awards & Summit 2024, held at Courtyard Bengaluru Hebbal on January 18, 2025, celebrated leaders in education, with Nitte School of Fashion Technology and Interior Design earning the "Best Fashion Institute of the Year 2024" title.

This recognition highlights the institute's excellence in design education, featuring a cutting-edge curriculum aligned with industry needs, state-of-the-art infrastructure and a strong emphasis on creativity and innovation.
