Kalamanthan, a vibrant showcase of Indian culture and heritage was celebrated on 25th March 2026 at JKSHIM. The event served as a platform to bring ancient traditions to life through the passion of its performers. More than just a series of acts, it focused on portraying culture through the art of storytelling.

The program featured a diverse array of classical, folk and contemporary segments. It opened with a divine Bharatanatyam performance by Prajna, followed later by the intellectually rich Talamaddale heritage presented by Deeptha. The "pride of Karavali," Yakshagana, was brought to life by Himali, Shravya and Shanya.

The energy shifted to Northern flavors with a power-packed Punjabi dance by Chaithra and Harshitha. The audience enjoyed soulful melodies, including a solo by Sanjana, a spiritual Bhajan session and an engaging solo performance by Vinamruth. The stage saw a blend of tradition and modernity through a semi-classical dance by Chirali and Kushi. The "style quotient" was raised during a high-energy fashion show and the celebration concluded with a power-packed Garba performance.

News from JKSHIM | One-day Executive Development Program

Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte in association with the Centre for Indian Knowledge System, Nitte University, successfully organized a one-day Executive Development Program (EDP) on 11th July 2025. The program titled "Building Resilience for the Sustained Success of an Organisation: Techniques, Cases, Practices and Benefits" was aimed at both academia and industry professionals.

The EDP was jointly conducted by Dr. Sudhir M, Director, JKSHIM and Dr. Sudhir Raj, Professor and Coordinator of the Centre for Indian Knowledge System, Nitte University. The program was coordinated by Dr. Nidhisha H, Assistant Professor, JKSHIM.

This one-day intensive program offered participants a deep dive into contemporary research, practical frameworks, and case studies related to organizational resilience. Key insights were drawn from the domains of neuroscience and positive psychology, which were effectively integrated into the training modules to provide evidence-based and actionable knowledge.

Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 with a meaningful tree-planting initiative, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability. To mark the occasion, Dr. Sudhir M, Director of the Institute, along with faculty members, staff and students, actively participated in planting saplings across the campus.

The event was organized by the Samvedhana Association, reflecting the institute’s commitment to nurturing ecological consciousness among its stakeholders. The program was coordinated by Prof. Rakesh Shetty, Staff Coordinator.

Srajana, the Cultural Association of the institute, in collaboration with the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, Nitte University, organized a Yakshagana performance, Vidhyunmathi Kalyana, on 5th March 2025 in the college auditorium. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of Yakshagana, captivating the audience with its vibrant storytelling, music and performance.
