Department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA observed World Alzheimer's Day on Thursday, 21st September-2017 in our Geriatric Daycare Centre, at Justice K.S Hegde Charitable Hospital.The Programme Started with Prayer,Welcome adress by Dr. Satheesh Rao and lighting the lamp by the Dignitaries Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, KSHEMA , Dr. Prabha Adkari , Prof. & Head, Department of General Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College, Yenepoya University , and Mrs. Fathima D'Silva , Principal , Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences. The presidential address was given by Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary and Dr. Satheesh Rao. The resource person Dr. Prabha Adhikari explained regarding the symptoms and signs and causes of dementias and how to take care of the patients and also how to prevent it.
