The Student Council inauguration and Freshers’ day celebrations of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, was held on 20th September, 2019 at K S Hegde Auditorium.
The Chief Guest of the event was Prof. Dr.Vikram Shetty, Head, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, ABSMIDS and Director, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Craniofacial Surgery. Addressing the gathering he explained the importance and role of physiotherapy in our lives.
Prof. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT welcomed the freshers to the NIPT family and advised them to be prepared to take on the challenges in the year ahead. The new batch of BPT and MPT students were welcomed with a floral token.
The Council badges were distributed by the respective Chairpersons to the members. The oath was then administered to the newly elected council members by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr.Vikram Shetty.
Fresher’s day was celebrated by the students amidst various cultural activities. Ms. Vruddhi Viswanath Shetty and Mr. Hrishik were chosen as Ms. Fresher & Mr. Fresher respectively. The program concluded with lunch being served to all the students.
