The “Teacher’s Day” program was inaugurated by Mrs. Gayathri S Udupa, Head Mistress, Shri Subramanya Swamy High school, Kadandale. In her inaugural speech she advised teachers to maintain a cordial relationship with students and emphasised that a teacher should be a role model to the students and execute their duties and responsibilities efficiently.
A floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on the occasion. Mrs. Gayatri Udupa was honoured for working for the betterment of students during her long tenure as a teacher. Principal Mr.Y.N.Salian presided over the function. He said that teachers must possess qualities like honesty, commitment and sincerity. He further added that an ideal teacher would motivate, encourage and inspire students by building a harmonious relationship with them. Mr. Laxmikanth T.O, Mr. Raghuram Rao, Placement Officer, Mr. Hari.H JTO, Mr. Harishchandra. A, O.S, were present during the program. Ms. Keethana recited the prayer. Mr. Winston Royal Moras, Ajithraj, Anurag and Athul expressed their view points. Jithesh C Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks and Likith anchored the program. Staff, students, NSS & Rovers volunteers also participated in the program.
