The Department of MCA organized a Project Exhibition, ‘MCA-exPro’19 on 9th November 2019. The exhibition aimed at showcasing various projects which were carried out by the students of the Department. The event thus encouraged students to think innovatively and develop projects that are helpful to society.
Dr. I. R Mithanthaya, Vice-Principal of NMAMIT inaugurated the exhibition. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the efforts of staff members and students in organizing the event. Mr. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Nitte campus presided over the function.
A total of 13 teams, comprising of students from the V semester participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. Each team worked on unique projects under the guidance of faculty members. All the projects were of good quality and worked satisfactorily as per the design. Three best projects were selected for awards, based on certain evaluation criteria.
Ms. Sarika Hegde, Assoc. Professor and Dr. Sudeepa K B, Assoc. Professor from the Department of CS & E, NMAMIT helped in evaluating the projects.
Dr. Surendra Shetty, Professor & Head, Department of MCA welcomed the gathering. Ms. Mamatha Balipa, Assoc. Professor & Project Coordinator spoke about the purpose and importance of the event.
The prize-winning projects were:
I Prize: Project titled “Kudla Hospital” by Mr. Hithesh Devadiga under the guidance of Dr. Anand R.
II Prize: Project named “OFMS” by Mr. Dhanush KT under the guidance of Ms. Mangala AG.
IIIPrize: Project named “Auto Rickshaw” by Mr. Akshay Vaidya & Ms. Sukanya Adiga under the guidance of Ms. Mangala AG.
