The value-added course on Scientific Communication Skills (2023-24) commenced on 21st September 2023. The module consisting of 16 contact hours and assignments that will be covered over a period of 4 months includes topics introducing types of scientific communication, life cycle of a publication, publication ethics and scientific writing skills including non-linguistic communication skills of pictorial and graphical representations.
As a part of the program, a formal inauguration of the course was organized, where Prof. Dr. CS Shastry, Principal, NGSMIPS was invited as the chief guest. In his speech, Prof. Shastry appreciated the efforts of NUCSER in contributing towards building a scientific ecosystem and highlighted the need for developing scientific communication skills among young researchers. Director of the institute Prof. Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, in his presidential remarks, encouraged the participants to make the best use of this course and persevere toward quality scientific communications.

More than 50 participants consisting of faculty, research scholars and postgraduates from constituent institutions of Nitte DU have registered for this course.
