The NUINS sports meet Sportif Jour 2013-14 was held on 20th December 2013 at Mangalore University ground, Konaje. The inauguration was held at 9.30 am. Dr. Sharan Shetty, MDS, Asst. Professor, AJ Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore was the chief guest for the function. Mrs. Fatima D’silva principal college of nursing presided over the function. Dr. Murali Krishna, sports advisor, Nitte University, Mrs. Sarita T. Fernandes, SNA Advisor, Mr. Sujith Kuriakose, sports coordinator, Ms. Stephy, sports chairperson, physical directors of Nitte University, all faculty, staff and students were present on the occasion. The ceremony began with March past.
Track and field events were held for students and faculty. The students actively participated in all the events and prizes were given. The overall championship was bagged by 4th year B.sc Nursing. The individual championships were bagged by Mr Ngwang, 2nd GNM and Ms Princia, 4th B.Sc.
