Seminar by experts from Regulatory Sciences – BIOCON at NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Institute Industry Collaboration and Placement Cell (IICP) of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences along with the department of Pharmaceutics had arranged a Seminar on “Regulation and Registration for Drugs in the Japanese Market” on 8th Vidyanand Ankolekar - Sr. Manager, Regulatory Sciences- BIOCON enlightened the students on the volatility and stringent regulations and jurisprudence related to the most upbeat branch of the pharmaceutical industry - The Regulatory Affairs. He alerted that as opposed to the general perception a sound knowledge of the subject was mandatory not just to the students of Regulatory affairs but to students of all branches of pharmacy, since the process of regulations starts at the product conception stage and persists through all the stages until it reaches the market for therapeutic dispensing. In the next session, Dr. Mudit Dixit – Asst. Manager, Regulatory Sciences – BIOCON shared valuable information and guided students on their project dissertation through serious jolts and pleasant surprises. The Q&A session saw a lively and energetic interaction by the students. Both Dr.Ankolekar and Dr.Mudit also agreed to co-guide the students in their dissertation.
