The NSS unit of SAROSH INSTITUTE OF HOTEL ADMINISTRATION (a unit of NITTE education group) conducted a seminar on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, in association with Narcotic Drug Cell, Criminal Investigation Dept., Mangalore and Department Of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Mangalore on 26th June 2014(International day against drug abuse and Illicit trafficking) . Prof B Ashok Head of Department Of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Mangalore and Mr. Rajan Naik , Dy. SP (CID Mangalore) were the resource persons. The Principal, Dr Indira K, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the critical need for creating awareness about drug abuse among the student community. The Faculty coordinator (NSS unit), Ms. Basavarajeshwari D, thanked the resource person for addressing the gathering and creating an awareness about the consequences of drug abuse.
