The Department of Pediatric Dentistry, A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte University organized a Dental and Medical screening camp as a part of Nitte Special Child programme (N-SPEC) in collaboration with Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana, Government of Karnataka, under the able guidance of Sr. Prof. (Dr) Amitha M Hegde and co-ordinator Dr. Amarshree Shetty. The departments of Psychiatric, Ophthamology, Speech & Hearing , Orthopedics, Pediatrics and Genetics of K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University, had joined with department of pedodontics in this endeavor, on August 8th 2014 at 9.00 am at Gurpur.
Dental and Medical screening of 120 special children was done. ‘Makkala Arogya Kshema’ Health cards with the treatment needs was given to each child, to avail their respective treatments at A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences and K.S. Hegde Medical Academy at concised rate.
