The Department of Psychiatry organized a Public Awareness Program, "Schizophrenia Awareness Programme to the care takers. " on 17-09-2014 at Seminar Hall, Psychiatry OPD, Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable hospital , Deralakatte, Mangalore .Dr. Shrinivasa Bhat U, Asso. Prof., Department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA gave a talk on schizophrenia and its management. Around 60 caretakers were benefited by the programme.
