CAM-ERA (Commerce and Management Entrepreneurship and Resource Association) had its valedictory function on the 17th January 2015.
The function was inaugurated by our Chief Guest, Mr. Eshwarappa (MBA Coordinator of Maharani College for Women, Bangalore) and our Guest of Honour - Prof. N. Jayaram Shetty of NSOM College. They were accompanied by our College Co-ordinator Col. Ramachandra and our Principal, Dr. Meera Krishnappa.
Mr.Shekar, Mr.Bharath, Mr.Girish and Ms.Soujanya who were head of Commerce and Management Committee were in charge of this function.
The Commerce and Management Committee has designed its own logo and it is represented as CAM-ERA which stands for Commerce and Management Entrepreneurship and Resource Association.
The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by our honourable guests accompanied by an invocation.
The Principal of the Degree College, Dr. Meera Krishnappa welcomed the guests and the audience. The Guests were formally introduced by Tejashree of II B. Com. Paper Presentations had been organized in the earlier Semester in 2014 where about 24 teams had presented their papers from 2nd B.COM, BBM and final B.COM, BBM and finally 6 groups were selected for the final presentation. These 6 groups presented their papers at the valedictory function. Every presentation had its own objectives, features and conclusions. After the presentations Prof.Eswarappa delivered an inspiring and thought provoking speech and appreciated the students for their wonderful presentations. Later Prof.Jayaram Shetty gave his views about the Presentations and suggested a few tips for an effective presentation. He stated that everyone should take part in such presentations and that more events like this could be organized. The speeches were followed by Prize Distribution. The 1st place went to Nagesh and group of 2nd B.Com “A”sec for the topic ‘Global Warming’. The 2nd place was given to Krishna and group of 2nd B.Com “A”sec for ‘E-Commerce and Internet Marketing’. The 3rd place was given to Chathur and group of 2nd B.COM “B”sec for ‘Impact of Fast Food’. The best speaker prize was awarded to Swathi.R of 2nd B.Com “A”sec. Thus the valedictory function concluded and it was a grand success.
