Elixir 2015, “Where healing, teaching and Research come together”, an International Undergraduate Medical Conference organized by Students Council of K. S. Hegde Medical Academy from 5th to 7th March 2015.
Pre -conference workshop on Nitte Life Support (NLS) and Basic Skills was conducted on 5th March 2015 at Skill Lab of Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Snehalatha Shamrao Deshmukh, Pediatrics Surgeon, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai. Sri. N V Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University presided over the function. Prof. Dr. M. Shantharam Shetty, Pro Chancellor, Nitte University, was the guest of honor. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, K. S. Hegde Medical Academy and Organizing Chairman of Elixir 2015 welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sukanya Shetty, Organizing Secretary of Elixir 2015 delivered the preamble of Elixir 2015. Mr. ShatanandPrasad Rao, Student Organizing Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. 809 delegates from 30 colleges participated in the conference. Dr. M. S. Moodithaya, Registrar, Nitte University, was the chief guest for the valedictory function held on 7th March 2015.
