Koraga Community Health Tribe Activities - Public Health

Department of public health, KSHEMA, Nitte University along with Sacharipete primary health centre organised one day free medical camp on 20th March 2015 to the tribal community. The objective of the health camp was to provide health education and free medical examination/check-up.




A total of 120 schedule tribe members attended the camp. Post graduate students of various departments such as Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, Paediatric and Community Medicine supported public health department to conduct this camp.

The event started with health talk on Diabetes, Anaemia, Alcoholism, and Hypertension. After the health talk, medical check-up was started. Total of 77 patients were examined for different illness.
