The 5th Dr. N Sridhar Shetty Endowment lecture was delivered by renowned Cardiologist and prolific speaker Prof. (Dr.) B.M.Hegde, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Nitte University on ‘What is Health’ on Wednesday 15th July at Vimshathi Bhavan.
The Endowment was instituted by the old Students of Prof.(Dr.) N Sridhar Shetty at AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in the year 2011.
Prof. (Dr.) B.M.Hegde kept the audience spell bound by his excellent orator skills. and emphasized the importance of spiritual, social, mental well being and holistic approach for treating patients.
Prof.(Dr) N. Sridhar Shetty, was facilitated for completion of 50 glorious years in the field of teaching. Prof. (Dr.) U S Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) S Ramananda Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University presided over the function. Prof. (Dr.) M S Moodithaya, Registrar, Nitte University, Prof. (Dr.) B Rajendra Prasad, Director of PG Studies and many other dignitaries including Heads of various Medical and Dental Departments graced the occasion apart from various other guests and invitees. Prof. (Dr.) Gopa Kumar, President, Old Students Association of A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences delivered the vote of thanks.
