On the 10th of August 2015, Dr. NSAM First Grade College formally welcomed the I year students by celebrating Freshers Day.
The Chief Guest for the Day was Dr. H.C Nagaraj, Principal of NMIT while the P.U Principal Ms. Rajalakshmi was the Guest of Honour. The programme commenced with the traditional invocation and the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.
The Principal, Dr. Meera Krishnappa welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and the gathering. She welcomed the Freshers and stated that they had made the right choice in opting to study at Dr. NSAM FGC. She also exhorted the 1st years to participate in all the college activities enthusiastically while maintaining focus on Academic Excellence.
Dr. Nagaraj then spoke about the need to have dedication, discipline and devotion to achieve one’s goals in life. He also stated that failure is a stepping stone to success and one should not be fazed by failures.
Mrs. Rajalakshmi spoke about the need to have concern and commitment and become good citizens. 2 seniors and 2 freshers shared their experiences of life at NSAM FGC, Bangalore.
The formal part of the programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Hafeeza of Final B.Com. This was followed by the cultural events which unfolded with songs, dances, mimicry and skits by various talented students across classes. This part of the programme was ably compered by Mithun and Swathi.
