1. Manjula V Hiremat, I B. Com and Sachin I B.Com participated at the All India Inter University Athletic meet held at Punjab University, Patiala from 28th Dec 2015 to 03rd Jan. 2016.

2. Umashree of II BBM, participated at the All India Inter University Power Lifting Competition held at Acharaya Nagarjuna University Guntoor, Andhra Pradesh from 11th to 14th Jan. 2016 in 57 kg category Power Lifting Competition.

3. Sangeetha of III B.Com , Jyothi of II BBM are selected to participate at All India Inter University Hockey tournament to be held at Delhi University in the month Jan. 2016.


4. Ashwini Shenoy III BBM and Lois Margarate Shatananda III B.Com participated in All India South Zone Basket Ball Tournament held at SRM University Chennai during 24th to 28th Sep. 2015.

Parent – Teachers’ Meet - NSAMFGC Nitte

On 11th September 2015. Parent- teacher meet addressed by Dr. Virupaksha Devaramane, Psychiatrist, V. V. Baliga hospital. Udupi. He said “Parents must commune with the child and spend time with them to understand and respond to them”.


Book Day - NSAMFGC Nitte

The college celebrated “Book Day” on 7- 8 October 2015 in the college library. Varieties of books were displayed. The Students were invited to visit the library to know about the books and resources available.

N-IGMA Pre –University Level Literary and Cultural Fest’ - NSAMFGC Nitte

‘N-IGMA Pre –University Level Literary and Cultural Fest’ organised on 10th September 2015. N-IGMA Fest was inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh Babu, Manager, Syndicate Bank, Nitte. The Winners Trophy bagged by Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Nanthoor, Mangalore.



Swachhata Pledge - MRSMEMHS

Students of our school were administered a “Swachhata Pledge” during school Assembly in order to make them aware of their role in making India clean.

Republic day celebration - MRSMEMHS

Republic day was observed on the 26th January, by classes LKG to 10. The chief guest of the day was Mr. Vasu Nayak, former president of the school PTA. He asked the students to inculcate good values. Mr. Swaraj shetty, the PTA president expressed his views. Mr. Basil Lobo, the Social teacher, Miss Dhruthi of Class V spoke on the importance of the day.

Students Achievement - MRSMEMHS

Kaushish of class II, secured third prize in singing competition conducted by Thunder Guys Fountation®, Kinnigoli. On 9th January as a part of ‘Sanvantha-2016’




During 23 and 24 January 2016, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal conducted several events as part of Aradhana’16. Armaan Chris Noronha of class IV bagged second prize in English Elocution and Sinchana Dayanand of class II secured first place in Kannada Poetry Recitation.




Many of our students took part in the “III National Level Open invitational Karate championship-2016 held on 23rd and 24th January at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium , Ajjarkad, Udupi. Many of them have won medals in Kumite and Kata.

Vijaya College Mulki conducted VIJIT TECHPARV-2016 Inter school IT competition held on 23/01/16 The following students won the prizes in different events. Siddhanth S shetty of class IX and Hrithik yogesh of class VIII won second prize in Brain storm, N.Aditi of class VIII , second place in Ultimate player, Shaik Athif Hussain of class VIII first place in Sherlock and our school got runner up prize.


PTA Picnic - MRSMEMHS

On the 16th January 2016, the staff and the parents went on a picnic to Pandith Resort, Moodabidri and enjoyed the day.


Makkala Grama Sabhe - MRSMEMHS

Students of our school attended the makkala grama sabhe at Padupanambur and actively participated in the session. Advith N N of class IX proposed vote of thanks on the occasion. Students displayed a dance on “Child Labour”.

New Year Day Celebration - MRSMEMHS

New Year Day was celebrated on 2nd of January 2016. Amidst lot of fanfare and excitement parents and teachers gave spectacular cultural programme. The day ended with lunch sponsored by parents.


NAAC ‘A’ Grade - NSAMFGC Nitte

Dr. Nitte Shankara Adyanthaya Memorial First Grade College, Nitte has been accredited with ‘A' grade. The college had volunteered for Assessment and Accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ,(NAAC). As a part of self study report, the NAAC peer team had visited the College during December 17-19, 2015. The peer team acquainted themselves with the strengths and weakness of the institution with reference to quality of assurance. After thorough analysis, the NAAC committee has awarded 'A' grade to the institution. With this, the college has been successful in retaining the 'A' grade for the second time.

International kite festival - KSHEMA

300 students of K.S.Hegde Medical Academy took part in the International kite festival held on 16th of January 2016 at Panambur beach organized by the International Rotary Club.

Along with it #MISSION HOPE, an initiative encompassing charitable and awareness events organized by the students lead by the students council was launched by the Asst. Governor of Rotary Mr. Ramakrishna Kamath and overseen by Dr.Sidharth Shetty and Dr.Rashmi Kundapur.

As a part of the awareness program of #MISSION HOPE, the students organized a street play on substance abuse which was widely appreciated by the organizers.


Interns orientation programme - KSHEMA

Medical Education Unit of K S Hegde Medical Academy conducted “INTERNS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME” on 11th January 2016 at seminar hall, 2nd floor, Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital. Dr Anitha Post graduate student of Pathology department, the MC, welcomed the guests, speakers and new batch of interns with Prayer song by Nikitha and Sanjana. Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean of K S Hegde Medical Academy inaugurated the programme by lighting lamp and delivered short message to the new batch of interns. Medical Education Unit faculty, Dr Kishan Prasad, Associate Professor of Pathology and Dr Harsha Halhalli, Professor of Physiology, coordinated the programme.


Inter Collegiate Cricket Chamionship 2016 - KSHEMA

K S Hegde Medical Academy Cricket team won the Nitte University Inter Collegiate Cricket Chamionship 2016. The tournament was organized by K.S. Hegde Medical Academy at Neharu Stadium from 20th to 23rd January 2016. Mr.Navneet Singh awarded as Man of the series and Mr. Sachin L won the Best bowler of the tournament award.


Annual Day 2015 - NSAMPUC Bengaluru

Dr. NSAM PU College organised Annual Day for the academic year 2015-2016 on 20th January 2016 at Dr. NSAM Open Air Theatre. There was good participation and contribution from all the students and staff towards the success of Annual Day celebration.




The Chief Guest of the occasion was Shri Eshwar Murthy, Deputy Director Pre-University Education, Bangalore North . The Guests of Honour were Mrs.Sunitha Mahesh, Counselor and Director of CCD Creators, and Dr.Venkatesh, Prof. in Physics. The other dignitaries were Mr. Rohit Punja, Administrator, NET, Dr. Meera Krishnappa, FGC Principal, and our beloved Principal, Mrs. Rajalakshmy K.P.






The program began with an Invocation Song followed by Lighting of Lamp by all the dignitaries. Welcome speech was given by Shreya of I PUC Science. Annual Report for the academic year 2015-'16 was presented by our Principal followed by the dignitaries addressing the gathering.

Shri. Eshwar Murthy advised the students to excel in studies by the effective utilization of good infrastructure and amenities provided by the college. He also emphasized the need of proper monitoring of children by parents for good academic results.

The next event was Prize distribution for both cultural and sports activities conducted during the year 2015-2016 by all the dignitaries and lecturers. Bhavya of I PUC Science proposed vote of thanks. Mementos were presented to Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour as a token of appreciation.

A series of various cultural events followed the formal function. The high spirits and enthusiasm shown by all the students immensely contributed to the grand success of the Annual Day.

Interact Club - MRSMEMHS

Interactors of our school participated in District level interact meet ‘SAMARPANE” held at Jaganmohana Palace, Mysore on 12th and 13th of December. They presented a talent show at the meet.
 

Universal Children’s Day - MRSMEMHS

On account of celebrating ‘Universal Children’s Day’ essay competition was held for students of class 10 on ‘ Children’s Right’ on 21st November 2015.

Students Achievement - MRSMEMHS

Vighnesh Krishnamurthy Rao of class VIII won first place in the shot-put under 14 (Junior) category in AICS Athletic meet organized by Bhuvanajyothi Residential school, Shirthady on 12/12/2015 held at Swaraj Maidan Moodabidri.


Many of our students took part in the “III National Level Open Karate Championship” sponsored by Western Institute of technology held on 28th November 2015 at Mahaveera College ,Moodabidri and ten of them have won medals in Kumute and Kata.


Guest talk on Drug Addiction - MRSMEMHS

‘Poor scholastic performance, drowsiness, hangover, yellowish eyes, intermittent fever and withdrawal are the signs of a person under drug abuse’ said Mr. Ramachandra Nayak, Circle Inspector, Mulki Police Station. He was addressing the students on ‘ Ill effects of drug abuse’ an awareness programme in the school. In his speech he said Drug consumption is wide spread and causes multiple problems. Adolescents are the easy victims. These drugs are generally prescribed as medicines in small doses by medical practitioners for some illness. Drug addiction leads to health related problems, affects social and economic condition finally leading to death. He cautioned that students that adolescence is the formative stage where the talents and resources must be aptly used make the future bright and contributive to the society. He requested the students to inform the concerned if suspicious of selling drugs anywhere in the future. He said this the best way to serve society, to save the youth of the country from the jaws of drugs. He patiently answered the queries of students.

National youth day - ABSMIDS

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, NSS Unit of A.B.Shetty Dental Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Advaita Shrama of Ramakrishna Mutt, Kolkota organized a guest lecture on “Importance of selfless work” by Swami Shuddhidanandaji for students on Thursday 14th January 2016. Prof.(Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean, Prof.(Dr.) B Rajendra Prasad, Director, PG Studies, Prof.(Dr.) Sharma, Senior Professor and Dr.Kumudha Rao, Department of Oral Medicine and Dr.Avaneendra Talwar, Department of Periodontics were present.



Professional Development Program on “Full Mouth Implant Supported Rehabilitation” - ABSMIDS

Department of Prosthodontics, A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Interns Academic Club of the Institution organized a two days Continuous Professional Development Program on “Full Mouth Implant Supported Rehabilitation” by Prof. (Dr.) Porus Turner, Prof Emeritus, Mumbai and Prof.(Dr.) Rakshith Hegde on 27th and 28th January 2016. Prof. (Dr.) Chethan Hegde, Head, Department of Prosthodontics introduced the guest speaker. Prof.(Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) N Sridhar Shetty, Former Dean and Director CADSS presided over the function. Prof. (Dr.) Mithra Hegde, Vice Principal and and Prof.(Dr.) Manoj Shetty, Head, Department of Implantology, Prof. (Dr.) Subhas Babu, Co-Ordinator, Interns Academic Club were present on the occasion. More than 250 Delegates including Heads of various Department, Staff, Postgraduate Students and Undergraduate Students attended this useful lecture cum Demonstration.

Dear kalam sir - NSAMEMHS

To commemorate Abdul Kalam’s 85th Birthday and for students to pay their respectful Tributes, a Post Card Campaign was organised at the School under the guidance and motivation of Letter Farms, Kochi, Kerala. 160 students and quite a few teachers participated in this on 21st Dec. 2015. Few wrote thought provoking letters, some drew his portrait, while a few others penned down his quotes and said what effect it had on their lives. A few composed poems. All this was done on post cards. We were elated by the participation.



Parents talent show - NSAMEMHS

The maiden Talent Show by Parents of our School was showcased on 9th Jan.2016. Our Registrar Mr. Yogeesh Hegde was the Chief Guest and the Principal- Mrs. Neeta Kishore presided. Both complimented the parents for their enthusiasm and encouraging children by their participation. Mrs. Vibha Shetty, Karkala with the assistance of few parent co ordinators in different regions took the initiative and organised this unique program at Sadanand Auditorium. Almost 45 parents participated.




Kids meet - NSAMEMHS

Amateur Athletic Association, Udupi organised a KIDS MEET on 13th Jan.2016 at Ajjarkad. Our students-Sharanya Kunder of class 6 and Ananya C Shetty of class 4 won the Silver and Bronze Medals in 600 mtrs Under 12 Girls category and Standing Broad Jump Under 10 Girls category. Total numbers of participants were 1600


Staff health check up - NSAMEMHS

The I.M.A. ( Indian Medical Association) with the assistance of the Nitte PHC arranged a Health Check Up of all the Staff on 11th Jan.,2016. Dr.Joishy, President of IMA, Dr. Satish of the PHC and Secretary of IMA Dr.Sandeep Kudva gave talks and tips on Life Style Diseases. This was initiated by the team of PACE MAKERS, consisting of Poonam Hegde and Ruthika (Class IX) as part of their Nitte-Hutchie Project on the Topic- Health and Life Span.


Christmas celebrations - NSAMEMHS

On 23rd December, 2015 Christmas was celebrated by all the Institutions in the Nitte Campus at Sadananda Auditorium. Our students sang carols and put up a skit with a message.


Interact confrernce at Mysuru - NSAMEMHS

The President of our Interact Club- SonalShashikath (Class VIII), a member Sujith Jain (Class XI) along with their Teacher Co ordinator– Sunil V attended the 2 days Interact Conference at Mysuru. The students benefitted by the presentation of powerful Interact orators. We received a travel allowance of ₹ 1000/- from Rotary Club, Nitte.


Aids awareness - NSAMEMHS

On World AIDS DAY, 1st December the students of Class VIII and IX are annually given awareness of AIDS through Power Point Presentation and a detailed Talk. This year, 2015 too Mr. Anil Kumar and Ms Srivalli H oriented our students on the same topic.

Light beyond the bulb - NSAMEMHS

An informative Program of sustainable Energy was organised at Nitte by the Rotary Club. Students of Classes IX to XI participated along with other students of neighbouring Schools.

Immunisation - NSAMEMHS

Students of Class IV received the DPT Inoculation and Class X had a booster dose of Tetanus Injection on 21st Dec. 2015 administered by the Nitte Primary Health Centre.

27th Annual Day - NSAMEMHS

19th December, 2015 we celebrated the 27th Annual Day of the School. To encourage and give opportunities to maximum number of students, the school organised two sessions. The forenoon session from LKG to Class V, had Hafeez Sufiyan Saqafi, the Principal of Twaiba Gardens, Karkala as its Chief Guest with Dr.Shashikantha Karinka, P.G. Co ordinator, NMAMIT to Preside.




For the afternoon session for Classes VI to XI, the Chief Guest was Mr. Rayappa, the Chief Municipal Officer, Karkala with the Vice Principal of NMAMIT- Dr. Ramesh Mithinthaya presiding.


The Master of Ceremonies of both the Formal and Cultural Program stole the shows by their exuberance. The Cultural Program of the students was a delight to the audience and received great applause.






Hour of code - NSAMEMHS

On 12th December,2015 the C.S Dept. of NMAMIT exposed all students of classes IX to XI to a unique technical platform, called Hour of Code. They were then asked to attempt 15 questions in 60 mts. B. Prachi Shenoy of Class X completed this task in just 15 mts and won the First Place.


I Can Awards 2015 - NSAMEMHS

The Class X team of Kaavya Athikari, Saleema Safa, Gladys D’souza, Sharanya Bhatt and Suraksha Shetty receiving the I CAN 2015 AWARD at EDI Ahmedabad on 6th Dec.2015. Their story– Ek Kiran Roshni Ki (can be viewed on U Tube) was selected as one of the 100 most inspiring stories of the DFC (Design For Change) I CAN School Challenge 2015.


Tuck Shop - NSAMEMHS

5th December, 2015 saw a buzz on our corridors with Class X and XI setting up TUCK SHOPS. Class XI for practical knowledge of experiencing an Enterprise Venture. Class X, were raising Funds for vying for the Rolling Shield by topping in the EARN N DONATE Collections for Charitable or Educational causes. The wide range of tasty spread of snacks was highly appreciated by students and staff.


31st annual athletic meet - ABSMIDS

The 31ST Annual Athletic Meet of A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was organized on Saturday, 23th January 2016 at Mangalore University Ground, Konaje. Dr.Shiv Sharan, Member Dental Council of India, Delhi & Senate Member, RGUHS was the Chief Guest. Mrs.Jayasheela Shetty, Physical Education Director welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean presided over the Function. Prof.(Dr.) Priyadarshini Hegde, Dean, Students welfare, Prof. (Dr.) Amitha Hegde, Prof. (Dr.) Prof.(Dr.) N Kuttappa Prof.(Dr.)Amarshree Shetty, Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Bandary, Sport Advisor and Dr.Shishir Shetty, Cultural Advisor and others were present.








Individual Championship for Men and Women Category was awarded to Shafik V.M (III BDS) and Roshni Mathew (II BDS) respectively.

Overall Championship and also the Marching Trophy was bagged by II year BDS Students
