Guest talk on Drug Addiction - MRSMEMHS

‘Poor scholastic performance, drowsiness, hangover, yellowish eyes, intermittent fever and withdrawal are the signs of a person under drug abuse’ said Mr. Ramachandra Nayak, Circle Inspector, Mulki Police Station. He was addressing the students on ‘ Ill effects of drug abuse’ an awareness programme in the school. In his speech he said Drug consumption is wide spread and causes multiple problems. Adolescents are the easy victims. These drugs are generally prescribed as medicines in small doses by medical practitioners for some illness. Drug addiction leads to health related problems, affects social and economic condition finally leading to death. He cautioned that students that adolescence is the formative stage where the talents and resources must be aptly used make the future bright and contributive to the society. He requested the students to inform the concerned if suspicious of selling drugs anywhere in the future. He said this the best way to serve society, to save the youth of the country from the jaws of drugs. He patiently answered the queries of students.
