'Thamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya', released on the occasion of 2-day Youth convention, 12-13th January, 2016, in connection with 153rd Brith Anniversary Celebratopms pf Swami Vivekananda, organized by Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore. The book was released by Swami Shuddhidanandaji, Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata in the presence of Swami Jithakamanandaji, President, Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore; Dr. N.Vinaya Hegde, Hon.Chancellor, Nitte University, Mangalore; Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Member Legislative Coucil, Govt. of Karnataka; M. Chandra Sekhar, Commissioner of Police, Mangalore', Sri Manjunath Bhandary,; Dr. Vivek Modi and Prof. K.Raghothama Rao, Director, MANAS, Bangalore.
Author of the book is Dr. Yaji H. Divakara Bhat, Librarian, NMAMIT, Nitte. The book is a collection of 100 Sanskrit Subhashithas with commentary in Kannada, Hindi and English languages, which is the second volume in the three volumes series. The unique feature of this book is, it is a first kind of book made available to the reader community who are interested to learn/read/ Sanskrit Subhashithas, but do not understand Sanskrith at all. The author has also provided an user-friendly index to enable any one to pick up a Subhashitha fit for any situation of his likes, both in English & Sanskirt languages.
This book has been published by Nitte University and freely distributed to all the students of Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore and all the participants of the two-day convention, as well as the students of Nitte Institutes.
