ANAMAYA 2016 - KSHEMA

K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, Mangalore organized the "ANAMAYA 2016" on 1st September 2016 at K S Hegde Medical Auditorium. “Anamaya” aims at promoting significant step towards a health and disease free life. It also encourage the students of medical and para medical courses to acquire wide knowledge on malarial outbreaks and treatment strategies through poster presentation and skit competition which is credited and funded by National Institute Of Health. A dietary fest was organized to promote health food habits among public and students.

The Vice chancellor of Mangalore University, Professor Dr K Byrappa was the chief guest, inaugurated the events. Dr . S. Ramanand Shetty, Vice chancellor of Nitte University was the presiding officer of the day. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, K.S.Hegde Medical Academy, Dr Amrith Mirajkar, Vice dean, Dr Jayaprakash Shetty K, Registrar KSHEMA, Dr Suchetha kumari, organizing secretary was also present. Dr Praveen Jacob from Bangalore and Dr. S. K Ghosh, Scientist G,from ICMR Mumbai were the resource person. Dr Aditi Bhandary briefed about ANAMAYA 2016.

The Chief guest Prof. Dr. Byrappa, has released the book “KIVI” - Ondu Kivi mathu authored by Prof. (Dr) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean KSHEMA. Mrs Sayigeetha, briefed about the released book. Dr. Kishan Prasad welcomed the gathering and Mr Sayooj, President KSHEMA student council delivered vote of thanks.

Inter college poster and skit competition on Malaria in India & Dietary fest More than 50 posters and several skit programmes were conducted at the same time.

Mr. Rohan Shetty and Ms. Sharal Tellis won the of KSHEMA won the 1st& 2ndprize in poster competition , IIIrd Prize was won by Ms. Shafan S. from Yenopoya University, Mangalore.

In the skit competition 1st& 2nd prize was won by KSHEMA , 3rd prize was won by dept of Masters of Public health, K.S.Hegde Medical Academy and consolation winner was team from Srinivas Medical College, Mukka.

Sarosh institute of hotel management prepared and served the delicious food as part of dietary fest – ANAMAYA 2016 . More than 250 delegates have participated & benefited from this programme.
