One day Industrial Visit - NSAMFGC, Bengaluru

One day Industrial Visit for the 1st semester BBA & B.Com students of the department of Commerce and Management was organized on 27th of August, 2016 to Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore. 30 students along with two faculty members Mr. Srinivasa.H and Ms.Sowjanya visited the Rail Wheel factory, in order to enhance  their practical knowledge with an overview of industry activities and better understanding of the organizational structure, process, policies, production plant and its process, maintenance process, employee management, rules and regulations, quality maintenance, technology usage and etc.

The group assembled at the college at 9 a.m. and left at 9.30 a.m. after a briefing from the Principal. Having reached the factory at 10.30 am, the group was received by Mr.Sunil TTC Manager. He gave instructions to the students who then assembled in the seminar hall where the TTC Manager gave a brief introduction about the industry The faculties and students were requested to attend a RWF project movie in their conference hall where the entire process from the start to finish was shown for better understanding before watching the live process. The students were then taken from one section to the other and the processes involved in the manufacturing of various products were explained. For safety reasons every student had to wear shoes and head caps. The process.was explained in such a simplified manner that both the BBA and B.Com students could understand the technical application of the manufacturing process very easily. The plant is spread over 16 acres and has 2 production lines. The staff met Mr.Sarkar, Head for TTC and expressed their gratitude for the
Industrial visit..  It was an informative, interesting and successful visit.
