On the 15th August 2016 Dr. NSAM FGC and PUC along with NMIT celebrated the 70th Independence Day together with customary pomp and gaiety. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr.R. L.M Patil, Retired Prof. of Bangalore University and ex member of Karnataka State Higher Education Council. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting at 9.30 a.m. This was followed by the welcome address and speeches by the chief guest and the Principals of the Degree College, PU College and NMIT. The vote of thanks was followed by the cultural programme by the Degree and PU students was a grand success with patriotic fervor and cultural diversity. Patriotic songs and colourful dances regaled the audience. The programme concluded with distribution of sweets.
