The department of ISE and ACM-W student chapter NMAMIT in association with TECHFEST ,STEM and PSSI conducted a one day python workshop for girls department on 17th September 2016. Mr.Shashidhar Paragonda, senior software engineer in CERNER healthcare solutions, Bangalore was the resource person for the workshop. He has 8 years of working experience. 60 girl students of 3rd and 5th semester actively participated in the workshop. Dr. B. Neelima , Head of the department, ISE florally welcomed the resource person.
Workshop dealt on the basic concepts of python programming language like syntax, functions, files etc. It was a hands on workshop conducted in the 4th floor CSE lab. Hands on experience gave all the students an insight into python programming language. This Workshop gave a good opportunity to all girls to interact with other participants along with an interest to know more about Python programing language.
Workshop was funded by TEQIP-II . Ms.Nidhi D Shetty, Ms Parinitha Rewaankar, Ms.Sushmitha of final year ISE were the volunteers of the workshop. Ms.Ashwini B and Ms.Chinmay Shetty of ISE department were the faculty coordinators for the workshop.
