Nitte International Film Festival attracts cine buffs - NICO

The four day long International Film Festival (NIFF) hosted by Nitte University from April 24 to 27, 2017 at Bharath Cinemas, Bharath Mall, Mangaluru attracted thousands of cine lovers from across the region.

NIFF was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Sukhtankar, prominent Marathi director. On the occasion his film ‘Kaasav’ was screened as opening film.

The festival also witnessed participation of prominent film makers such as Mr. P N Ramachandra, Mr Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Ms. Bijaya Jena, Mr. Manu Chakravarthi, Mr Mikhil Musule and actors such as Mr. Manohar, Mr. Shrunga, Mr. Pratik Gandhi, Mr. Harisharva and Mr. Hemanth.

The festival screened films like Reservation, Amaraavati, Railway Children, Zero Made In India, Harivu, Jatta from Kannada; Madipu and Suddha (Tulu); Kammatipaadam, Unto The Dusk, Angamaly Diaries (Malayalam); Kaasav, Ventilator and Lathe Joshi (Marathi); Raman Raghav 2.0; Island City, Ugly (Hindi) and Soegija, Sanctuary, 24-Weeks, Red Butterfly and Destiny (international films) for free of cost.
