In just two weeks from when college started, the perspective of the architectural program was widened, not only in theory and drawings but also in practical work. Amongst them a group was selected for Carpentry at Pilikula. Students learnt how to use all the machines on just the first day. They started with a memento in the name of the college, NIA, using the carpentry skills they were taught. But that was just a small step of the process. They then proceeded by making brick moulds for Building Construction and Material class, and a stool to enhance their exploration to joints associated with furnitureAll in all, the weekends spent at the Pilikula workshop were fruitful as well as fun filled.
