“Career Opportunities in Australia for Medical and Paramedical Professionals” - NITTE UNIVERSITY

A talk on “Career Opportunities in Australia for Medical and Paramedical Professionals” was organized by the Career Guidance & Placement Cell, Nitte University for the students of Medical and Paramedical colleges at the Vimshathi Bhavan, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences on 24th August 2017.



The program started with a prayer invoking blessings of the almighty followed by lighting of the lamp.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Dr. M.S. Moodithaya, Registrar, Nitte University in a very adoring tone alerted students of the need to develop three important “C’s - Competency, Clarity and Connectivity” to be successful and stay current in a fast changing and challenging professional space.

Dr. C. S. Shastry, Chairman of the Career Guidance & Placement Cell welcomed the gathering. Dr. U. Krishna Nayak, Dean – ABSMIDS commended the efforts of the career guidance & placement cell and advised students to make good use of the opportunities offered.

The resource person of the programme, Mr. Mohsen Soliman, Student recruitment Manager, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia acquainted students with the various avenues and opportunities available in Australia for aspirants desirous of pursuing post graduate and doctoral career options. He was joined by his colleague Shruti Srinivasan and the Indian promoter Mr. Arshad who assured the students of all assistance and immigration guidance. About 250 students from various disciplines of Medical, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Lab Technology, Physiotherapy and Speech & Hearing attended the programme. The talk was followed by an enthusiastic and useful Question and Answer session.

Dr. Sukanya Shetty, Head of the department of Biochemistry delivered the vote of thanks.
