Awareness on Breast Cancer - NUINS

As a part of extension activity OBG nursing department of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized an outreach program on ‘Awareness of Breast Cancer’ at Ambedkar Bhavan, Hoohakuvakallu between 11 AM – 1.00 PM. The programme was initiated with lamp lighting, welcome note and brief introduction about the resource person Prof. Philomena Fernandes by Mrs.Jayanthi programme coordinator. Then the session was carried out by highlighting on the risk factors, symptoms, diagnostic measures, and BSE and prevention aspects of breast cancer. Main focus was on detecting the early signs and symptoms. At the end of the session the audience were encouraged to have an interaction with the Resource person. The queries raised by the participants were cleared .The programme was concluded by a note of gratitude by Mrs. Leelavathy, Balepuni panchayat president.
