Report on FDP - " Teacher as a Leader" - NSAM PUC, Bengaluru

Dr. NSAM PU College organised an FDP for the PU staff on 13th October ,2017. It was conducted by Dr. D.H.S. Ganesha Bhatta, Former Principal, M.E.S. Teachers’ College, Bengaluru. He made a PPT presentation on the topic, 'Teacher as a Leader.' He spoke volumes about the various roles, duties and responsibilities of a Teacher. Dr. Ganesha Bhatta provided deep insights into the key role of a teacher as a leader and also emphasized on the profound influence a teacher has on a student's life, beginning from effective classroom teaching to that of mentoring, developing interpersonal skills, motivating, commanding, and most important, how to lead a student effectively. He also spoke about the Global Leadership Attributes and listed out the various positive attributes of great leaders at the global level. He also threw light on the topic "Teaching as an Aptitude" with the narration of humorous classroom anecdotes. The presentation was wound up with an optimistic note that there will be at least a single "shining eye" who will hold the responsibility of every educational institution.
