Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, in collaboration with department of Biochemistry KSHEMA organized a Seminar on “Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention and Antenatal Care” on 14-10-2017, between 11.30AM to 01.30 pm. Dr. Goutham Lodaya oncosurgeon and Diabetologist the first Guest Speaker emphasized high incidence of breast and cervical cancers in Karnataka even though both of the cancers are completely preventable ones. He also explained details about the preventive aspects of both the cancers. Dr. Sunita Lodaya the second Resource Person explained the newer concept of Garbhasanskar in which she pointed out the importance of parent fetal bonding, diet and various other aspects of antenatal care.
