Investiture ceremony of the Student’s Council for the year 2017-2018 - ABSMIDS

The Investiture ceremony of the Student’s Council for the year 2017-2018 was held on the 28th October 2017 at KSHEMA Auditorium at 10.00 am The Chief Guest of the function was the Principal and Dean of Medical college, Prof Dr. Satheesh Bhandary. The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a prayer song. After which the felicitation of meritorious students was done. This was followed by speech of the outgoing batch’s president, Mr Trishul Alva. After this, the outgoing union members handed over their post to the new incoming union batch, Prof Dr. Shishir Shetty conducted the oath taking ceremony in which new council members took an oath to follow all rules and regulations and to keep the flag of the college always high. Incoming President, Mr Kevin Thien Kuang Hu delivered a speech in which he mentioned about how will the new union would function for the next upcoming one year. Chief guest addressed the crowd and motivated the union batch to work efficiently. Prof Dr US Krishna Nayak, the Principal & Dean of our college emphasised on the serious problem of Substance abuse. Founder Dean, Prof Dr N Sridhar Shetty shared some of his past experiences of union batches who have really worked hard This was followed by the batch name revealing and batch videos of the student council members. A small entertaining dragon show was put up. The incoming batch was named “AMARTYAS”. The programme concluded with Vote of thanks by Mr Satpreet Singh, General Secretary of the batch. Finally, programme was followed by lunch.
