Annual Day celebrations - NIPT

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy celebrated the 21st Annual day on 10th March, 2018 at K S Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte. The program commenced with a prayer song by Ms. Vismaya, I BPT. Prof. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar KU, Principal, NIPT welcomed the gathering and presented the Annual report of the academic year 2017-18. The Chief guest, Dr. Shivsharan Shetty, Senate member, RGUHS & Member, Dental Council of India in his address explained the role of physiotherapy in the early recovery of patients and the importance of empathy over sympathy. His motivational speech enlightened the students to focus on their career.






Awards were distributed to the best outgoing student, best intern, best NSS volunteer, best sports person - male & female, overall team winners & runners up in various sports & games, academic toppers, winners of NSS youth day celebrations and literary events, winners of the drawing competition held during women’s day celebrations, the students who represented the college in the student exchange program at the prestigious University of Santo tomas, Manila, Philippines and the Rajmohan Memorial Award for the topper of cardio respiratory physiotherapy.

The magazine Akansha-2018 with the theme Ambiora- stride towards excellence was released by the Chief guest, Dr. Shivsharan Shetty. Prof. Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Registrar, Nitte Deemed to be University, in her presidential address appreciated the college in successfully conducting all the events and securing the best participating college award at the IAP Conference held at Agartala. She inspired the students with her talk on how to be a successful human being and target oriented in their career, without expecting anything in return. She released the NIPT conference (PHYSIOCON-2018) logo with the theme ‘Physio Weave - Success through Synergy` which will be held during November, 2018. Ms. Seema Cardoza, Best Intern spoke about her journey in NIPT. The formal function ended with the Vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Purusotham Chippala, Assoc. Professor, NIPT. Ms. Sudini Borkar, Asst. Professor was the Master of Ceremony for the event; Ms. Sumam Sunny, Asst. Professor co-ordinated the awards & recognitions; Mr. Rakesh Krishna, Asst. Professor coordinated the entire event. The formal function was followed by cultural programs for the students. Dinner was served to all at the end of the function.
