Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy in association with Ramakrishna Mission organized “Swachhata Awareness program” on 19th April, 2018 at NIPT campus.
Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Registrar, Nitte (Deemed to be University) was the Chief Guest and Sri. Chandrakant Kulkarni, the retired teacher from Pimpri, Pune was the Guest of honour. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT welcomed the gathering and introduced Sri. Chandrakant Kulkarni to the volunteers. Dr. Alka Kulkarni in her address lauded the work of Ramakrishna Mission and Team NIPT (SwachhaSena) in creating an awareness of social responsibility amongst students. Sri. Chandrakant Kulkarni whose name was mentioned by our Honorable Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi in “Mann Ki Baat” radio program has contributed immensely to “Swachh Bharat Kosh”(cleanliness drive). He congratulated the NIPT team and motivated SwachhaSena to serve Mother India. Dr. Purusotham Chippala, Assoc. Professor NIPT delivered the Vote of Thanks. Mr Rakesh Krishna, Asst. Professor, NIPT coordinated the program. Flag off for the awareness program was done by Dr. Alka Kulkarni and Sri Chandrakant Kulkarni. Female and male students accompanied by the faculty of NIPT carried out an awareness campaign in their respective hostels and distributed brochures containing information on cleanliness and hygiene.
