NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte has entered the distinguished Platinum Category for having the highest industrial collaborations in India, in the recently concluded All India Council for Technical Education & Confederation of Indian Industry National survey (AICTE-CII Survey) for technical institutions, for the year 2018.
Since 2012, every year AICTE & CII jointly evaluate Indian technical institutes on the basis of industry linkages under various parameters like governance, curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, services and placement. They categorize the performance of the institutes by giving different grades namely – Platinum (score more than 30), Gold (score between 11 and 29) and Silver (score below 10).
NMAMIT is one among the top 19% of institutes to enter into the Platinum category in the survey. A total of 755 institutes offering Engineering, Management & Pharmacy programs had participated in the full national survey of AICTE- CII Industry linked technical institutions, out of which top 145 institutes were rated under the Platinum category, 303 institutes under Gold Category and 307 institutes under Silver Category. The continuous & sustainable efforts made by NMAMIT in establishing active industrial collaborations under different categories have helped in the holistic development of the institution, faculty & students, thereby enhancing the technical skills and the employability of the students in the corporate sector.
