The inaugural ceremony of the ‘Nitte month long Dental Camp 2018’ was held at Dr. NSAM First Grade College, Nitte on 30th October 2018. Prof. Dr. U.S. Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean, ABSMIDS was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the month-long camp. Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte presided over the function. Mr. Aravind Hegde, Special Officer, Nitte campus; Mr. Yogish Hegde, Registrar; Dr. Audrey D’Cruz, Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, ABSMIDS; Dr. Anjali N, Staff In-charge, Justice K.S.Hegde, Dental clinic, Nitte;c Mr. Shekhar Poojary, President, Rotary Club, Nitte; Dr. Radhakrishna Doddamani, Secretary, Rotary Club, Nitte; Prof. Vasudev Bhat, Dr. NSAM First Grade College, Nitte, graced the occasion.
Following the inaugural function, a total of 240 patients were screened during the camp and 135 patients treated. 36 patients underwent restoration, 99 patients - Oral Prophylaxis and 2 patients were referred to Nitte Centre for further treatment.
