As a part of World Tuberculosis Day, the Department of Community Medicine KSHEMA, in association with Sasihithlu Rural Health & Training Centre held a Tuberculosis Awareness Program on 25th March 2019.
Dr Indushekhar Shetty, Medical Officer, Sasihithlu RHTC, Dr Sanjay Kini, Asst Professor, Dept of Community Medicine and interns Pooja Hegde, Niranjana P and Astha Bhadra spoke on the occasion. The program was moderated by Mr Santhosh NP, Social Worker, Department of Community Medicine. The program intended educating people about Tuberculosis, the causative organism, how it spreads, symptoms and signs, modes of prevention and treatment. Powerpoint presentations and posters were used to explain these to people.
