The Department of Community Medicine, KSHEMA, in association with Sasihithlu Rural Health Training Centre organized an awareness program on “Universal Health Coverage” on 4th April 2019 in view of World Health Day.
The program was conducted at the Yuvaka Sangha Mandala, Sasihitlu under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Kundapur, Professor and Dr. Pavan Kumar K, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Community Medicine, KSHEMA and Dr Indushekar Shetty, Medical Officer, Sasihithlu RHTC. The program was moderated by Mr. Santhosh, MSW, KSHEMA assisted by Mr.Dilip, Dr. Sachin and interns Yashaswi, Yashwanth and Gibson.
A talk was given by Dr. Pavan Kumar K, on Universal Health Coverage and Arogya Karnataka and by Dr. Rashmi Kundapur on Primary Healthcare and Ayushman Bharath. Dr Indushekar Shetty spoke about the healthcare facilities that were available, the role of health workers and government schemes.
