The Medical Education Unit - KSHEMA conducted a Workshop on Synopsis/Dissertation Writing for Post Graduates (first year students) on 16th &17th July and 24th & 25th July 2019. 70 postgraduates participated in the workshop.
Introduction to Research, Literature search, Reference citation, Framing research questions/Hypothesis, Writing background, Ethical aspects in research, Study design, Statistics and sample size calculation were discussed. A mock presentation of dissertation by postgraduates was also conducted. Dissertation guidelines for students of MD/MS were discussed. The workshop saw inputs from 14 members of the teaching faculty.
