As a part of WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK (1 ST AUG - 7 TH AUG 2019), a talk on the importance of breast feeding was conducted at Sasihithlu Anganawadi on 6th August.
The audience, lactating mothers from Sasihithlu village assembled at the venue at 11.30 am. The inaugural speech was given by Dr Indushekhar Shetty, Medical Officer, Sasihithlu. The resource person Dr Ankeeta spoke about the advantages of breast feeding, proper techniques, complications of improper breastfeeding and superstitions regarding breast feeding.
The faculty in-charge of this activity was Dr Sanjeev Badiger. Dr Ankeeta Menona Jacob along with interns Dr Abhaya, Dr Aishwarya HN, and Medico-Social Worker Mr Santhosh from the Department of Community Medicine KSHEMA, coordinated the event. The audience was welcomed by Mr Dileep.
