News from Medical Education Unit KSHEMA | Workshop on Synopsis & Dissertation Writing

The Medical Education Unit conducted an online workshop on 'Synopsis & Dissertation Writing’ for the MD/MS students from 31st August to 4th September 2020 at K S Hegde Medical Academy. 117 first year postgraduates participated in the workshop. Introduction to research methodology, formulating research question / hypothesis, literature search, various study designs, statistics, ethics in research, sample size estimation, measures of disease frequency and data collection tools were discussed. Postgraduates had interactive plenary session on mock dissertation protocol presentation. Feedback from the participants was very good.
