News from NMAMIT | Outreach Program on ‘Digital Fluency’

The Department of MCA, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte organized a 2-day Outreach Program on ‘Digital Fluency’ for the students of MSRS College, Shirva on 28th & 29th March 2022.

The Principal Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar welcomed the gathering. In his speech, he conveyed the importance of digital fluency in day-to-day life and motivated the students to learn technology. Dr. Surendra Shetty, HoD, MCA briefed about the outreach program. The faculty of MSRS college Ms. Shwetha was present during the session. The sessions for the students were handled by faculty members of the department of MCA. On the first day, Mr. Anantha Murthy & Dr. Sumathi conducted a session on ‘Database Management for Data Science and Big Data Analytics’. Dr. Spoorthi B Shetty & Dr. Mangala Shetty conducted a session on ‘Internet of Things and Industrial Internet of Things’.

On the second day, Dr. Mamatha Balipa & Mr. Balachandra Rao conducted a session on ‘Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning’ and Mr. Sharath KR & Mr. Puneeth BR on ‘Cyber Security and Types of Cyber Attacks’. The session on ‘Cloud Computing and its Service Models’ was handled by Mr. Arhath Kumar & Dr. Pallavi Shetty.
