The Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell in association with the Interns Academic Club of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences organized a Guest Lecture on 6th July 2022 by Associate Professor Dr. Swapnil S Bumb titled “What during & after BDS? Give your dental career a Super Edge” at Avishkar Auditorium for 4th BDS, Interns, and MDS students. The Principal & Dean, Prof (Dr) US Krishna Nayak presided over the function.
Prof. (Dr). Subhas Babu, Chairperson of the Interns Academic Club welcomed the gathering and Dr. Mamtha Shetty introduced the Resource person. Prof. (Dr.) Darshana Devadiga, Member Secretary of Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Upasana Reddy compered the program.
The guest lecture by Dr. Bumb included a detailed discussion on different avenues and opportunities available in both national and international forums. He also outlined the various options available in the clinical, research, manufacturing, and management industry. It was an innovative step taken by the institution toward career guidance options for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The program was attended by 180 participants.
