The swearing-in ceremony of the newly constituted Student Council of Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research was held on 31st October 2022 at the University Auditorium, Paneer to mark the beginning of student activities for the year 2022-23.
The formal inauguration was followed by Fresher’s Day: Aarambh-2022. Dr Nagesh Prabhu, Director (Curriculum Development) of Nitte DU was the chief guest of the function. He emphasised the importance of leadership skills in students and motivated them to excel academically and work on self-growth. The program was presided over by Prof. Dr Anirban Chakraborty, Director, NUCSER who highlighted the role and importance of a student council in an academic institution.
The chief guest, along with Prof. Dr Anirban Chakraborty & Prof. Dr Smitha Hegde, Dy. Director, NUCSER felicitated the members of the Student Council of 2021-22 with a Certificate of Appreciation. Dr Nagesh Prabhu conducted the oath-taking ceremony and distributed the badges to the new council members. Ms. Vasila Jahan, newly elected President of the Student Council proposed the vote of thanks.
Fresher’s Day 2022 celebrations rightly named “Aarambh 2022” was organised by the newly formed student council. The students showcased their talents in the form of group dances, singing and various other performances. The freshers showcased their talents with great enthusiasm and energy. Senior students & freshers demonstrated excellent team spirit and made the event a memorable one. Mr. / Ms. Fresher from UG & PG programs were selected by a Talent Screening Committee.
