News from NUCSER | Self-defence training

The Women`s Cell of Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research conducted a self-defence training program on 30th September, 2022. Mr. Karthik Kateel & Mrs. Shobhalatha from Swaraksha Women Trust were the trainers. The program was arranged for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Dr. Akhila D.S, Member Secretary of Women`s Cell introduced the trainers and welcomed the gathering. 

Mr. Karthik Kateel provided a summary of cyber security crimes and precautions to be taken when using an unauthorised network. Many self-defence techniques were explained by the instructor, including how to deter a suspected attacker by targeting weak or vulnerable spots. Participants also learnt about the usage of various techniques as safety tools. The trainers answered the queries raised by students. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Smitha Hegde, Dy. Director, NUCSER.
