Orientation Program for the students of Allied Health Sciences

The Orientation Program for the students of Allied Health Sciences was held on 1st September 2022 at KS Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU, was the Chief Guest of the function. Prof. Dr. P. S. Prakash, Dean, of K S. Hegde Medical Academy, welcomed the gathering. 

Prof. Dr. Jayaprakash Shetty introduced students to the college. This was followed by a session on student well-being, stress management, and substance abuse by Dr. Srinivas Bhat, Head, Dept. of Psychiatry. Mr. Shashi Kumar Shetty, Asst. Professor, MIT informed students about the Anti-ragging measures in place and also about life on campus. 

Dr. Supreetha Shetty, Chief Librarian, briefed about the Library & its facilities. Dr. Murali Krishna V, Sports Advisor, Nitte DU, spoke of the sporting facilities available on campus. 

Over 450 students, parents, and faculty attended the orientation.
